Shannon Burkett BSN RN IBCLC is a lactation consultant in New York City at NYP and Mount Sinai, where she specializes in NICU and Well Baby. She is the writer/producer/editor of the podcast, LEAD how this story ends is up to us, which is based on her family’s experience with lead poisoning and stars Merritt Wever, Alessandro Nivola, and Cynthia Nixon. LEAD just won numerous Signal Awards and was an official selection of Tribeca Festival. She is a recipient for The Jonathan Larson Grant and Pipeline Arts Award for her musical. Her short films have been screened at Cannes, Woodstock, Omaha, RiverRun, AmerDoc, RiverRun, Edmonton, and many more.  As an actor, she appeared on Broadway alongside Patrick Stewart and many Off-Broadway shows, TV & Film.
