This lecture will provide in-depth information on using an individualized care model to care for medically complex patients:

  • Individualized care versus standard models of care

  • Patient advocacy

  • Family as the best patient advocate

  • Listening to your patient’s needs and non-verbal communication

  • Viewing each patient as an individual
