Jonathon Kitchens

BSN, RN, CCRN

Jonathon Kitchens BSN, RN, CCRN has more than 13 years of critical care and emergency room nursing experience and is pursuing his family nurse practitioner and doctorate of nursing practice degrees at Columbia University. With nursing experience in trauma, triage, and critical care settings, he is working towards an advanced practice degree to continue providing care to the community. Though his background has included many clinical settings, he has always gravitated towards the role of educator, working as a preceptor for those new to nursing or new to critical and emergency care, as well as a mentor in his academic role at Columbia University. Jonathon is passionate about the comprehensive professional education of nurses that goes beyond clinical skills including communication, emotional intelligence, leadership development, and effective educational skills for patients and professional development.
